Not sure about bags. I used to CRH $25 boxes of pennies so I know they are still around. GL and HH. Matt

Hard telling. I know the credit union I get halves from sometimes they come in $500 boxes and sometimes in $500 bags. They are always rolled never seen a bag of loose coins.

I read somewhere that you'd have a better chance of finding error coins (that are not shaped correctly) because sone errors would get kicked out of the rolling machines...

Sounds like the bags just come from coin counting machines? Not sure that makes error coins any more likely, but you never know...

i want to try to get a bag of pennies in hopes of indian heads, supposedly they slip in here and there, plus i wouldn't have to count the dang pennies lol

It took me 3 boxes to find my first (and only) Indian head penny. On box #7 currently. So they're out there... ;-)

wow. i've hunted two boxs, plus another 420 rolls over two years, all i've gotten is S mints, 60s copper cents, and about 60 wheats, and a couple errors.
