Does White's Electronics issue stocks to the public?

I was wondering of a good place to invest in the stock market, and I know anything involving silver and gold would be a good investment, but what about detector companies? Does White's or Garrets issue stocks to the public?

I think they are private, but wall street is nothing but a bunch of crooks.

I just put some $$ in a couple of gold mining stocks. They don't rise as fast as actual gold, but they are more stable and don't appear to be in any danger of going out of business soon......

As an added thought on that subject line. When looking at mining stocks, it's good to go with companies that have proven reserves. Ore in the ground is as good as bullion in hand! :cool:
