Soap, water and soft brush wouldn't hurt it. I would be very hesitant about using anything else. Anything else might remove some of the detail or leave it porous. If someone else has had success cleaning one, they might share what worked for them. Good luck. Nice find!!:yes:

If you can read the date I wouldn't do any cleaning. The pics a little blurry but from what I can tell you have a nice solid coin.

I most definately wouldn't hit it with any sort of rubbing or brushing action as this will cause hairline scratches all over the coin which will negate most of the numismatic value of the coin.

If the coin has a greenish tint to it, there's a product called verdi-care that you might consider using.
 
Were it mine, I'd leave it alone. Those aren't everyday finds. Making it look worse than it is (and not that it looks bad) would be a regrettable situation.

At least it would be for me.
