At the beach again today and working the parking lot which is in front of a very popular bar and restaurant. I was finding a steady supply of coins when a young man approached me to ask some questions about detecting. We were talking as I pulled coin after coin out of the sand and shell lot. He asked me why there were so many coins and I said something about how the bar patrons probably dropped them after wetting their whistles and they didn't realize what they had done. We were laughing about that when a rather inebriated fellow came out of the bar and asked, "Finding any buried treasure?" My companion quipped"No. FINDING DRUNKEN TREASURE!" I started laughing and told him that would be my new phrase for working that area from now on.
