It looks worse in the picture bit it is a little worn. It looks better on the wheat side. I've found quite a few indian heads here but most are in bad shape

I was a coin collector long before I started detecting, and dug Indian head cents are unlikely to have any collector value unless it's a key date (1877, 1909S, etc.)there's not much value anyway
My 2012 Red Book says it's worth $50, at the lowest grade (G4), which deals with how worn the lettering and detail. Doesn't go into dirt and discoloration. They haven't made them in a very long time, but new collectors are made everyday... It's worth what one of them is willing to pay for it, certainly more than a penny and postage...
