1921 Church Site

Received permission to hunt a church built in 1921. I've hunted it twice now for a total of 4 hours. Not finding very much old stuff, not as much as I was expecting for its age anyways. For old stuff or silver only 2 1964 Washington Quarters & 3 Wheat Pennies so far. The clad though, wow! I'm amazed at the totals!

Here is the run down:

2 1964 Washingtons
57 Clad Quarters
35 Clad Dimes
4 Nickels
3 Wheats, 1936, 1941 & 1953
28 Copper Pennies
12 Zinc Pennies.

Hit two mile stones too, 1000th Clad Quarter & 1000th Clad Dime in 2 1/2 years time.

dont get me wrong, two silver washingtons makes for an awesome hunt and i am very happy about it. i just thought i would be finding more older stuff. 150 total coins so far but only 3 are wheat pennies and 2 are silver. of the 57 clad quarters 30 are pre 1975, that tells me this place has probably never been detected before. i thought i would be digging a lot more wheat pennies anyways.
