So im on the road for work and in another very old town. I decided to take the detector with me to kill some time and tonight i had 2.5 hrs on an 1880 mansion finding wheats an modern coins. Doing sidewalk to curb passes i hit my 2nd buffalo(1920) then got a funny looking penny an couldn't tell what it was until i cleaned it an got light headed, my oldest coin in my almost 2 months hunting as a newbie, a 1859 IHP! Turned out to be an awesome trip.

Crazy to think that the coin was being used before Abe Lincoln was even president.

Work

I take my detector everywhere I go, except work, I'm retired. Take advantage of the old towns you are working in, you will be saving gas money traveling to do metal detecting, because your already there working. For a newbie, your finding some awesome coins. Congrates and keep hunting and keep showing.
HH everyone
