Thinking about getting an Equinox 800.. Do you think you would have found the dime with a lesser machine ? I have a Garrett 250 currently.
 
Absolutely beautiful coin and still on my bucket list too. I hope when I get one under my coil it's even remotely close to the condition this one is in. 182 years old and it may as well have been minted yesterday.

Beautiful coin...my brother and I found a half-dime in the early '70's after our dad cut down a holly tree in our back yard. A little younger than yours, but it blew our minds back then because we didn't know there were half dimes out there. We thought they were all called nickels!
 
That's a beauty for sure! I have dug 2 in my career, and both were in very good shape fortunately. I think being so small, they were very easy to lose, just wish they were easier to find :laughing: congrats!
