My new light-weight highbanker I use to get flour gold out my local rivers prospecting. This one is much more simple then my other ones made of aluminum. It's made in the USA by ...

Cool! I've thought about getting into that. I have tried a little bit of panning, but I understand that Missouri has only flour gold in the southern part of the state. I do have a wet weather creek on the property to play around with. I'd be real interested in finding out how it pans out for you! (pun intended)

Very nice. That isn't XXX tapes , but my guess was close.

I pretty well have only flour gold where I live too. It all adds up over time. Here's a short video summarizing my flour gold a few years back.

Exactly, me too! We have a crater of diamonds, but it's like walking into a casino knowing the odds of winning are a million to one!

From to time i see where someone has found a diamond at COD and wonder just what the odds truly are. How many man (or woman) hours are expended for each diamond that is found.

Friends of mine spent a couple days there more than once. They got some exercise.

lol....I've lived here all my life (62 years) and have never visited the park myself. Old information: In 2013 there were 115,523 visitors to the park. A total of 455 diamonds were found and registered with the park. Straight odds would say that 1 in 253 visitors would find a diamond. But those odds would not be accurate. The odds of finding a 1 carat or greater diamond are 1 in 6,795 without factoring in expert hunters. Realistically the odds of finding a quality diamond worth more than $10,000 would be somewhere in the ballpark of 1 in 300,000 or so, by my best guess. $10,000 isn’t near enough to give up your day job…you’d need quite a few more zeros.
