I have learned that nothing is impossible when it comes to metal detecting finds. That is part of the fun, wondering how something like that got there. Congratulations on being the one to find it.

Louis XVI - Sols coin
Was that land part of the Louisiana purchase....that area may have been a route traveled by the French or a small populated camp/town/trade port.
I believe the coin is a 1792 - Louis XVI - 2 Sols
...if I'm right, it should be copper, weigh about 23g about 34mm
