Nice button. Where was the EMI? ... I didn't hear any EMI, I don't hate the Equinox, I use the 800 I just don't think it's the best detector out there.

My point exactly..... Deus is rendered useless where I dug that thimble.... I dont think its the best at everything either but its a good one for what I do.
What do you think is the best out there? |

My hunting buddy, JCk John, came over to me last weekend and asked if I was getting a lot of EMI in this area as his detector was going nuts. I hadn't noticed a bit of difference in my EQ 800's stability.

But funny sold it in a heart beat on eBay to get my 800. now I don't mind if people criticize my Nox 800. Heck, there are a few things I didn't like in the beginning, but leaned it was operator difficulty in understanding not the machine. I didn't like that it was telling me stuff in a language I didn't understand. so I had to learn that language. You have to learn what it is telling you is below your coil. It tells you a lot if you just put in the hours and learn. I am still learning. __________________ |

Good film CB. EMI is something I struggle mightily with using the CTX.

That is my one complaint with the Deus - EMI. Out in the woods and fields where there's not a lot of EMI, I'd probably pick the Deus because it just swings better IMHO and I can swing all day. But I really like the Equinox in town or where there's any EMI. Deus freaks when it gets within 40 feet of a power line. My MXT got a lot closer, but it still griped a lot when it was near or under a power line. I haven't noticed any such problem with my 600 - yet.
