Earring Found Gold? ... to be or not to be?

Went to another small swimming beach in the Chicagoland Area and found an earring, it looks like it could be gold, no markings though and has several small diamonds. You be the judge.

Looks like gold to me..

I'll bet, if you have a loupe, you will find marks on the part that goes through the ear.. That part has always been stainless on junkers. When it matches, it's a winner..

There should be a tiny marking on the post. But it looks good.
