Short hunting on monday at the park. This old hillside slowly giving up old coins. 1920 merc,1942 S merc,1898 Indian.

Good picks DJ. If the aluminum trash isn’t horrible you might want to play with the low/mid-ish conductors or at least some as you’re in the age range of gold coins still being used. Will you find one and make a once in a lifetime find? You’ve likely played with this idea,but it’s tough to get into that frame of mind,especially if time is short! Well done so far...:grin:

Trash is really not a problem on this hill. Last yr i dug a 14k gold ring. Its a good possibility there could be a gold coin here. This park goes back to the 1860 to 1870. I know of a guy who pulled seated dime from this location. Im hoping i can too by the end of the year.
 
Some real nice digging Jon. Congrats on the two Merc's and the Indian. If you keep digging from that hill like this your going to have the Grand Canyon to play in.:yes: Trapper
