I'm getting ready to haul my trash finds from the last year to the recycling center. It's truly amazing how much scrap metal you can dig and find. I have 2 50 gallon barrels of crushed"clean" aluminum cans. I have 2 20 gallon trash cans full of rusty iron, can slaw, fishing weights and even a 1/2 horse pump. And a 5 gallon bucket and half of another with copper, brass and stainless steel.
If you aren't saving your trash and cashing it in, you're missing out on some nice cash.
But as I'm sorting it, I was struck by how many gardening objects were in my buckets. I have spigots, sprinkler heads, sprayer nozzles and a lot of hose bibs. Many of these are copper or brass.
Cha-Ching!!!
