Who likes photography

Great photos. I have a few photos of Dragonflies, but none as good as yours.
They are nervous insects, and don't like you getting too close. I was
watching one last week, but it just wouldn't stop flying.

What do you use for processing your photos ? As I mentioned previously, I
have been trying out various programmes to replace Lightroom, and am now
trying out Capture One. I may also trial Luminar 4 when it is released.

Thanks Alan, they have a 95%kill rate too.I use InPixio for editing.I'm by no means a professional I just take shots that please me.You either have the "eye" or you don't and I surely did not give it to myself.

A few more..

Love those photos.

As you say, photography is in the eye of the beholder.
I don't buy photography magazines, but someone I know gives me some
to look at. A lot of the "award winning" photos published, I wouldn't give a
second look.

Love that video :clapping:

+1 ….yep, great video !!!!

We occasionally have woodpeckers around here, my wife tried to get some pics once when she saw one but I guess was not close enough as was using the handy camera that many of us carry around - a smartphone camera.

Has anyone here tried digiscoping ?
That is, putting you camera on a spotting scope, rather than a telephoto lens ?
I am expecting delivery of a scope, and all of the gear to enable me to put my camera on it... This should open up a whole new experience.

It's been a while since I used it, but I made a homemade adapter that lets me attach my smartphone camera to a telescope.

I don't have a pic of the homemade adapter handy, but here is the scope.

Here is a store-bought version of an adapter from Amazon.

Interesting scope Gary, a chap in our astronomy club has one.
I've tried putting my camera on our Dobsonian, but can't get focus as the
primary mirror needs to be moved. A friend bought us a similar phone adapter
but I haven't got around to trying it. Although I have taken photos using
our solar scope with some success.
As I write I am awaiting a knock on the door with my new spotting scope.
It will be mainly for viewing wildlife, but will also double up as a portable
wide field astro scope.
