6 Ring Day

Several things have conspired to keep me from hunting lately but yesterday I was able to get out on a beautiful day with a great low tide.

Dug a total of 127 targets in 4 hours on the beach.

Found 2 gold rings and 2 silver rings. Along with the stainless and junker in the photo.

It was a fun day for sure.

Funny thing about the 18k. When I dug it I thought it was gold. Then when I saw it I thought it was stainless. But since I had the scale and test kit out I decided to acid test it because the chip looked real and the stripe of gold was definitely real. After testing it I looked again and there was a '750' obscured by the name and hearts engraved inside.

Lesson learned, be careful before tossing items into the junk bin.

Not much competition and during the high season our population goes from 200,000 to over 1.2M. So I am very fortunate to have a great hunting area.
