Finally strung together a few days above freezing and about 2/3s of our snow has cleared away. Its still cold enough to make the first 3 or so inches of ground frozen hard enough to make the digging tough. Nevetheless, I couldn't stand it so I went to an old park where I have found lots of older wheats and my oldest coin to date. A couple of hours of scanning and digging only the most promising of targets yielded a 1919D wheat and a 1924 buff, my first, maybe second buff of the year. Thanks for looking. HH and good luck out there.

Nice Todd! Glad you got out, and the Wheat and Buff look good! I know what you mean, sunny here today in Hamilton, but still tons and I mean tons of snow in Missoula. I did pull a Silver Quarter today, my 2nd shiny of the year. Can't wait for completely thawed ground!

It is nice to just get out and dig Todd. Finding a couple of keepers is a bonus. Be a few weeks before we see thaw this way. Congrats! Trapper
