Found this where troops congregated and camped. Just seen one in a new members stuff. It's brass, solid in the small end, thick and heavy cast, has a pin hole to fasten. Thought of Pike butt end, Flagstaff end, seems too heavy for braid rope end, just don't know. Any help?

Some of those in that picture are the tips off a carriage arm. You can tell by the worn side where the arms rested on the ground when not on a horse.

I've also heard of them being part of a carriage wheel brake, when worn on the corner like that. No idea for sure what is correct though.
