90% gold 10% copper. A $10 gold coin is the common unit and called a eagle this is called half eagle, they also made a (double eagle $20) and (quarter eagle $2.50)

Less common because they were not made for as many years is $1, $3, $4 although there were a large quantity of the $1 made.

If you go back 4 pages in this category and look at the (What happened to this category???)

It is always a fun hunt when you can cross something off bucket list.
I am very fortunate to hunt some good sites, but before this if someone told me they they went out detecting one afternoon and randomly found $5.03 in pocket change all with the same date I would say... sure you did, now was that before or after you found the lost ark? :laughing:
