This was found on a creek bank within 100' of two old stone bridges from the war. There was a lot of troop movement through the area. One end is blount while the other is distorted. Not sure if it is a blown cannon but is very interesting. Outside diameter is aprox: 5 1/4". Bore is aprox: 2 3/4".
Due to corrosion it is hard to be exact. It's definetly iron and is very heavy.
Carried that bugger out. Appreciate and assistance you can offer.

So it is about 17 inch long, with NO taper and open at both ends.
Does not seem to be a cannon to me.

The 1 1/4" wall thickness is a puzzle as to what it was from.
