Found this in the side yard of a 50's era house. As seen in the photo it is larger than a quarter. It is ornate with GRAND ENCAMPMENT OF GEORGE inscribed on the front and smooth on the back. Is made of copper and had a VDI of 90 on the F75. How old could this be? Thanks

Oooh Knights Templar isn't just a sarcastic response in this case (Oak Island reference)...

Seems to be a badge or ornament of some sort, related to the Georgia chapter of Knights Templar:

--> check out those hats tho!

I can't seem to find when the GA KT were founded, but that would help you narrow down the possibly date range.

Independent Order of Odd Fellows

not exact match..but if you google more in that direction you may find it.

"Proceedings of the annual session.
by Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Grand Encampment of Georgia.
Published 1800"

But I'm guessing they had other "annual" sessions. May be hard to pin point a date...but at least you have more info to google with.

I would call that item the Grand Encampment of AWESOME!
Incredible find, especially in one piece.
Perhaps it had a Standing Liberty Quarter in it???
