So tonight I door knocked at a house built in 1910, I have knocked on this door literally 5 times this summer and no one has answered till tonight. He told me go for it and I was off and swinging. This yard, like so many others has been hammered in the past, but I did manage a few keepers. I got a small Sterling ring monogrammed with a fancy S, which is cool because it is the first letter of my last name. I also snagged silver #18 fty the year, a 1893-O Barber dime!! Its a low mintage Barber as well! It didn't come out of the ground very pretty though, but I'll take it happily! I also got 2 more wheaties and a 1953 South African 1/4 penny!

You know Ohio guys have it almost as good as those NYers! Nice digs.

Nice finds. Was the property owner's name something with an "S"? Could be a ring that he or a family member lost. If so, returning it might get you more time on that, or other properties and it always looks good for the hobby.
