Yesterday (Saturday) I headed out to an old baseball field that I had found the previous time I went detecting. I kept getting fooled by small 4"-6" aluminum tubing that may have been from old t.v. antennas. They were giving solid high tones and good repeatable #s. But I did finally hit a 1954 rosie and got $1.23 in clad. All the clad was very corroded especially a clad quarter that was a true 8" deep...it was green and at first I thought I had my first large cent!
Today I went to my favorite park that has previously given up 4 gold rings. Wouldn't you know it, but just as it was starting to rain and I was heading to the car, I hit a solid 17 on the nox. Before I dug it I was thinking "I'll bet this is a gold ring", and sure enough it's 5.65 grams of 14k! My second gold for the year and also the second with the nox. Also up to 9 silver coins for the year. Today's clad was $2.91 along with 6 wheaties. I like finding wheaties and most of these were in the 6"-8" range.
As far as the nox goes, I love it. Today's settings were basically park 2 with custom tone bins ans sense anywhere from 17-22.
