Supplies needed...tumbler, clad (silver only) aquarium gravel, water, dish soap, electricity and time (approx 4-6 hours is really all it takes).

Place approx 2" of course aquarium gravel in bottom of rubber tumbler. Fill clad to about 2/3rds full. Add water till you clad is completely submerged. Add a few tablespoons of dishwashing soap. Tighten lid to tumbler securely. Lay the tumbler on the rotation bars and turn it on for 4-6 hrs.

This load of clad was found over 3 outings. It's nasty, green and old. Been in the water for awhile. This was just the clad. I'll be making a new post of the good stuff:spin:

Patience, patience...only been tumbling for a little over an hour now. I'll open her up around 7pm (Hawaii time).

Mang, I can't wait that long. What if doesn't work? What if the coins come out with the face totally rubbed off. That would be funny.

You have to show us real results ok? No faking it. Has to be a paper in the picture that says 'real results'.

I don't tumble my coins more than an hour and I use less gravel... I put in enough just to cover the bottom ;)

About 5 hours later...Guiness anyone?
After a rinse and then a shake through the handscoop. The gravel goes back in the tumbler for the next round.

Wow! What a difference!

We just saw one of those tumblers today. The guy said he uses "crushed walnut shells" and "scrubbing bubbles" in the tumbler.

Doesn't the soap blow the lid off?

I started using CLR, I buy it generic at the dollar store and it only takes about 1-1½ hours. Or I put the black coins in the parking meters  That'll teach em'.
