Found this near where I have pulled a couple of confederate buttons and Spanish Reales. It looks similar to a Civil War .52 cal. Sorry it's upside down, the website does this when I use my IPAD and I don't know how to fix it. Thanks

Sure looks like one from that era,a dia. measurement would be really helpful for identifying it odd thing that I tried to turn my head around to look at it, I guess it would have been even more so if I had flipped the monitor

Thanks. It is 1" high and a 1/2" wide at the base.

Looks like a .52 sharps, odd patina! Was this a water recovery?

Thanks, the soil in this particular area preserves coins and relics well. I've pulled 100+ year old copper coins with little to no patina.
