I hit the beach today, A.C., NJ. , and finally found some gold, 14kt Woman's black onyx broach circa early 1900's. I was trying out the smaller 6x8 sef coil to fight the heavy iron there and found it in the wet sand about 8-9" down. It came up as a solid 14 on the screen. Beach was quiet and sanded in a bit, got a little clad and usual junk. This is my 1st gold, 2 years detecting.

You're 1st gold item is :wow:! Nice job!!! That item might have collector value greater than the gold so get it appraised.
