I've found deals on ebay, but you must be patient.
All the big houses are competitive as I've found. Just decide in what form you want to buy, and how much you are willing to pay over spot.

My concern isn't so much price as all the fake rounds and bars out there now.

I buy from craigslist. Read EVERYTHING you can about what you want to buy. Learn everything. Don't let yourself be scammed. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Bring a magnet, a loupe, and a scale. They are your best friends when buying from craigslist.
