Used detector prices

I've been looking for a new "used" detector. I thought about Tesoro but I think I'm starting to like a display.(Like my Delta 4K) Just seems like every time I use my sons Compardre, Even with the disc turned all the way up to the 3oclock penny position, I'm still digging pulltabs.
I was thinking about-
Fisher F2
Whites prizm series
Whites coinmaster target ID
Bountyhunter 505 or better
What could I expect to pay for these machines USED or what amount should I not go past?

My personal opinion is that Displays are not needed and cost you targets. Especially on low to mid range priced detectors. There has been a guy in the classifieds trying to sell a Tesoro on every forum. Very well priced. But in the end you should buy what you want. My advice to you is get a detector with adjustable ground balance.

There is a trick that you can do with the Compadre and that is loosening the control knob and resetting the position.
Most guys do this with a nickel, and then everything else should fall in line correctly after that.
I pick up very few pull tabs with mine at that 3:00 position...mostly zinc items and once in awhile a big gold ring.

If you really want a screen, I also use and F2 and that one works great at about $200 new with 2 coils...less if you can find one used.

However, even with that one I still dig some older pull tabs and zinc pop tops and screw on caps when it says zinc on the screen.

Well I don't think you should pay over 200-300 for any of the detectors in the list. Another thing I don't think that any of them are a real upgrade from the detectors you already have.

I don't necessarily want to upgrade, Just an extra unit so my girlfriend will quit nagging at me for not taking her along.
