I have hunted the same few old homestead sites four-time now, three with my Ace 250, and now once with my Ace 400. Every time I hunt these spots, I dig lots of old typical homestead artifacts like old irons and axe heads. The property owner kind of acted like I was wasting my time. My persistence paid off earlier this week. After turkey hunting, I went metal detecting for about 4 hours. As I was about to quit in fustration, I found a 1940 Wheat Penny, and then found a 1936 Silver Quarter a few inches away. I was stoked! Before I left, I ran over to another homestead and searched for a while and found a WWI button (from what I can tell). All the time and effort I have been putting in to research and learn my detector(s) seems like it has started to pay off a bit.

Sorry, forgot the pics.

Time spent is a education in experience. You will not get that any other way. Glad to see some rewards for those efforts. Congrats on the Silver GW along with the Wheat. Love digging Military items also. Trapper

Might have taken some time, but it paid off in the end... congrats!
