In the shadows, look behind you.
I was thinking 2 rolls each of pennies to quarters? Or Quarters and Dimes? Or just dimes? I know it is not a huge sum, but I am just trading a roll of Polk dollars and some Sacagawea $'s

I think you need to get 7 rolls of dimes and hope for the best.

I'd have to agree. That or fish for halves although you couldn't get many. Ten bucks to a roll. Pennies can be fun too though but you'd better get a cherry picker's guide so you can look for ALL the varieties that they have out there!

I get just a few rolls from time to time from my daily run to the bank.
Got a couple of quarter rolls and found a silver 1964, but that was lucky because after several more it just never happened again.
Did a few dime rolls for awhile, managed to get one silver rosey.
Knew it the minute I poured out the roll on my hard table...love that silver sound!
Another lucky find.

Nowadays, I just do pennies because you can get a lot for a little, and I look for wheaties and errors.

I averaged one wheatie for about every 5 or 6 rolls till about 2 weeks ago.
I got 4 rolls from the teller, opened them up and found 199 1943 steel war pennies.
Shot my wheat per roll average all to hell!

You could also try the nickels. You know the 1942-1945, with the P,D, or S on the back over the dome are 35% silver. A roll is only $2 each, so you could get 17 rolls. Good Luck with whatever you choose. Finding silver is always fun! : )

Yeah I saw that post

I went with 6 rolls of dimes and 10 rolls of pennies. I found 2 1982-P dimes and two wheaties and a dozen pre-1983 coppers...half of the rolls of pennies were brand spanking new. Oh well, the next move is to cash in $30 in casino chips to do some more CRHing

that doesn't really make them worth much more though does it?

(serious question, I'm not cracking wise hehe)

Coppers are running about 1.5-2 cents more for melt value. Search copper pennies on ebay and you'll see!
