I was searching a box of dimes and I always search the clear wrapper boxes because I edge hunt. All of a sudden I see gold! Looked a little smaller in diameter than the other dimes, and had ridges like the other ones. Im thinking 2.5 indian head!!!!!!! My heart raced as I pulled out a Roosevelt that was plated in "gold". Oh well it was a thrill for sure!

Lol! Now that im an experienced crher I can spot the difference immediately. I still check them though. I can also most of the time spot the mercury dimes by their edge as well

Living in lower Michigan gets me about 100 Canadian dimes per $500 US.
Too bad about the plated Roosie - I've found chrome-plated silver dimes, gold-plated, and annodized dimes, cheap thrills for sure!
