I have found My first merc about 9 inchs deep and a IH around 10 inches.

Thank you, appreciate all the comments! Did a quick 30 minute hunt late this afternoon at a curb strip, checked carefully in front of two homes, and I did get a 1953-D silver Rosie and a bit of clad!
