Hey Im been doing this MDing since July and Im hooked.
After finding 2 junk rings this past summer I finally found something nice.
Hit a football field and found two silver rings inches apart.
One ring has "sterling" written on it and the other has "ss 92.5" on it.
I googled the mark on the rings,WM,and found the company name.
Its Wheeler Jewlery of South Dakota.
That explains the motif on the rings.
Ok so does ss 92.5 mean stainless steel?
Thanks for looking.

SS 92.5 is basically saying "sterling silver" twice. "SS" and ".925 or 92.5" all mean sterling silver.

sweet rings

Usually Gold, platium, Silver rings are stamped deep and the alternative rings such as stainless steel, tungsten carbide, are very lightly stamped or lightly engraved, at least the four I found were.

WTG Coppertop and welcome to the forum. Two nice rings there - just a lot of fun to pull any ring out of the ground - but Silver and Gold ones always bring a smile to the face. Glad you're hooked, it's a great hobby. Good luck on future hunts!!
