Well, I guess it's time to introduce myself. I've been learning a lot from all the great folks on these boards.

Anyway, I am a newbie to metal detecting. Not completely, as I did some detecting with family a number of years ago. I've want to get back into it now - with the next generation!

I'm interested in hunting with others as I've still much to learn. I live in northeast Illinois aka Chicago norther west suburbs. Looking forward to hearing from others in the area.

Welcome!! I'm in Elgin, so we must be relatively close. I'm a complete noob, myself.....waiting for my new Fisher F44 to arrive so I can learn.

Welcome, I'm an Illinois transplant living in Michigan now. Lived most of my life in the La Salle/Peru area. Good luck on your future hunts. I still consider myself a newbie also, even though I've dabbled with the hobby over the years. Always seems to be other things getting in the way :)
