Slow detecting today

Tried MD'ing an area in the forest preserves that had some kind of elevated walkway built from who knows when? Didn't ring up any coins so I tried by a nearby (cement) bridge that has been crumbling away. Pop tops everwhere, but managed one stinking penny LOL.

I also tried MD'ing a buds backyard that I tried several times before and never found any coins. Found some old makeup container (no name on it) that was made of copper and finally a coin - a clad quarter.

I've had better days, but it was nice just to be outside.

Epi - I'm lost of the purpose of the walkway. Considering there is a bridge nearby it must have been a popular visitors spot years back, but to visit what LOL. I e-mailed some pics to a forest preserve bud to see if he could shed some light on it. The only ones in the area now are beer drinkers - I could barely detect by the bridge due to all the discarded pull tops :mad:

If it was a soggy marshy type of area, I could see it. There are people out there in the world that don't want to get their shoes dirty :lol:

Yes, sometimes just getting out is a good hunt.
