thanks curt, im not sure what condition it should be in for 239 years old... the back side you can just make out the 72 in 1772 and nothing else, looks like a blank.... sorry im just really excited about this...this is my MDing career highlight as of yet

thanks mate, have you wrapped up at the thatched house in the woods? what u did find was very cool... its amazing that people would just make it a dump. i dont get it sometimes

from all research it looks to be a 1772 king george half penny (copper) its the size of a quarter adn thin, 1/2 thickness of quarter... if im wrong please someone tell me

congrats on the 1700s coin, you should go back to that site and see if there are more items to find, sounds like a great location, minus the cow skulls

If its an error coin and george is spelt GEORIVS
