I was hunting my farm permission after work and dug a couple of nice buttons from there. I was told the eagle button is from the US Army around 1800 and am just trying to confirm that. It says Wishart, New York on the reverse. The other is a treble gilt flat button. I have dug many buttons from this site.
I wish it had coins this old as well but I have not found any older than 1949!
Thanks in advance for any input on the buttons.

I measured it at .915" which equates to 23.41 mm in it's current condition. I think if it were in better shape it would measure more closely to your example. The reverse is labelled differently and what is left of the gilt is gold toned. An awesome button either way! Thanks!

If you backtrack on that link, there's a few more sizes and examples of it about halfway down the long page. Great find!
