Looking forward for lots of seasoned advice and spending many hours reading many interesting how-to posts.
I'm near Lake Michigan in the sw part of the state.
Winters are in Florida, great, more beaches!
My eyes have glazed over reading about so many makes and models of detectors.
Just ordered what i hope will be a good machine for a novice, a First Texas Discovery 3300.

If you got that 3300 from Costco you got yourself a great deal. I bought 2 of them and sent one to my brother and one to my Grandson who live in South Texas and they are having a ball with them.
