So yesterday was a bust:cool:. But I have been busy:yes:. Here are pics of two hunts.

The pic with the coins an class ring was the best of it for one hunt and the other pic of the single class ring was a different hunt. Both easy gold targets. I was actually talking to some one on the beach and showed them two silver rings and my coins and was about to scoop out what turned out to be a nice class ring. I hardly ever stop to chat...was a shame cause the person didn't get to see me find the ring.

Other items of interest not shown were a piece of brass railing [I got a bin of brass building up here]. A big piece of lead. And a piece of copper, probably from a roof of some sort. When I get a min I will update with pics.

No IH pennies of late either.

The 77 ring is 14 grams and the 73 is 16.5.

***EDIT 7/6/2013. Verdict is in. There both acid tested by a gold dealer as 10k. He was only paying 70%, so I did not sell. Although, I still might as gold could go below a grand this week. I smell market manipulation.

Congrats on the finds. My list is a nice school ring. So far it has eluded me. Yours will clean up nice.

Great job Joe on both heavy rings... too bad gold keeps tanking in price ;)

Just curious..... were they 14K? Ive noticed 10K now down to SS plated and they still cost the parents a ton of cash. Thats a couple of fine tickets there.

Now that is the way to find class rings. The two I have found weren't gold but some other mix of metals. I had no problem returning them.

Thanks all for replies. I am looking at that big one over again. They are both stamped 10k. The 14 gram one is, without a doubt, gold. The big one...iffy. So I will update with results from an acid test. hh an gl. -Joe
