Not easy, went back today and found nothing but nails and bottle caps:laughing:
 
Good seeing you post some old stuff JB... I was worried a huge gator swallowed you whole when you vanished ;) Gil, one of our mods hunts with those creatures in freshwater...
 
Stunning finds .... great old quality work there. The one ring looks like a class ring, or as noted an 'achievement' ring. I concur the date is 1949, and think your photo may be inverted, with the banner at the base of the design. What does that banner say? Interior marking appear to make it a Jostens ring, and they do great service on assisting with locating where it came from. With no interior marks it will be extra hard to match to an owner.
