E-trac settings on the beach

Hi all, I rarely get over here to the beach forum though I do occasionally peep in to see some of that gold I never find. I'm a coinshooter here in Salem, Ma whose main goal is colonial coins. Well, I just got my e-trac in today and I'm dying to get out and give it a go but we got 2+ feet of snow last weekend so hitting the woods is out of the question. This weekend I'll be hitting some local beaches and I could use some help with patterns and settings appropriate for our beaches. I'll be hitting the dry sand and wet sand, no water hunting here in February. I used to own an e-trac a couple years ago so I'm quite familiar with the machine. Thanks for any help you can give.
