Just came across this video on youtube, and it shows a guy having a walk along the Dead Horse Bay in Brooklyn, New York. He explains that the rubbish lying along the beach came there from a nearby rubbish dump in the early to mid 1900's, and how some people have found gold jewellery there in the past. Would be an interesting place to metal detect, or to have a scavenge if you're nearby, because there are some seriously cool bottles to find out there. The bottle at 2:47 in the video looks quite unique.
