Left the state of Florida and headed north to The little town of St Mary’s Georgia. Returned to a site I had hunted last week and continued searching. Found a lot of trash, a few clad coins and a very very deep slug that rang up as a quarter.

On the way home I stopped off at a public dirt parking lot I had always wanted to search and found a very ornate picture frame, a figurine of two children, part of a toy gun, a toy airplane and what I believe is an antique one pound scale weight. A nice haul.

At home I started cleaning everything and rinsed off the “slug” and realized there was an eagle. Some frantic scrubbing revealed I had a very very toasted Standing Liberty quarter. MY FIRST!

Not a bad Sunday.
