NJ detecting
We spent a week on Brigantine Island just outside of Atlantic City. We Found some coins on Brigantine, mostly fishing weights, and hunted DAYS in front of the Atlantic City Casinos. We would start in front of the show boat, and walk down towards Caesar's. Found some coins, a 1903 Liberty Nickel and a cheap ring, but not much! The last day we went PAST Caesar's and actually had quite a few finds, (coins). Nothing real old, but it sure beat the REAL slim finds we had in front of those casinos! There is so much junk iron in the ground around those casino's...So try past Caesar's. The parking past Caesar's gets down to $4.00 for a shady car lot. That whole area is pretty shady. I would not go down there to night hunt! We were parking in the white fenced lot kind of in front of the Showboat casino. Get a free members card to the Showboat casino and show it to the parking atendant and your $10.00 fee gets cut down to $5.00. Its a two block walk from that parking lot, between the casino's, to the boardwalk / beach.
We then spent a week in Virginia Beach. Did better there, nicer area, nicer people, way nicer beach! Now we are at Myrtle Beach. First day, (today), I found two cheap ear rings, 1 ring (costume), and a couple coins. Still hoping to strike Gold! This East Coast is just
TOO DARN HUMID! We hunt from pre sunrise to 9:30, then hide until near 5,then go out and hunt again. Good thing the tides have been good for those times! I'm a California Dreaming about going back to our DRY COOL Central Cali coast!
Good Luck
