Struggling through the wild blackberry brambles and thorns along an old stone wall on an island off the coast of Maine really paid off! Ouch!

Great coin!!!

Had a similar experience last month. I hunted a homesite that hadn't been mowed in years. Weeds were chest high and thick. Sapling trees and fallen limbs everywhere. After 3 hours of digging deep cans and plumbing parts, in extreme heat, I was ready to give up. But there were two huge oak trees I hadn't reached. I struggled to get to them and the bases were stacked with fallen limbs. But almost all the way around the second one I got a solid 90 on my ATP. 9 inches down was my first Barber coin ever. 1906 O Barber half.

I'm still giddy over it.
