My buddy Quicksilver took me out Sunday to one of his spots. He was kind enough to get me out at this time of year when everything is planted or knee high in hay. I was told about this camp years ago but never persued it. It's been pounded for years by local diggers I know some of them lol. Well we didn't get skunked by any means. It was loaded with iron & decomposed iron from being occupied for years. Both sides camped on this spot during the civil war. We didn't find anything big witch is understandable from being pounded for years lol. These are my finds from the hunt. Thanks for looking & HH

A Flying Eagle? Amazing. I've been at this 41 years and still don't have an FE. Congrats.

Nice digs Digger! Wow, a flying eagle, congrats! Is that a rivet in the pic? Do you know what they were used on? I find them often here.

They used them to attach leather together. It could be from a harness or something also. It's old & I kept it in with the finds. Thanks for checking out my stuff. HH
