Posted this in ID Help too but thought I might have some luck here since both were found near civil war sites.
First is a brass type pin with flowers on it. Cant quite find anything quite like a match and its odd shape has me puzzled.
Other is a shied/badge type of thing that was obviously attached to something else with a "W" on it. I thought it was a saddle badge but can't quite make it match anything.
Asking for clues to either.
