Neat pic from this afternoon

So, out here in the Gulf of Mexico and all. We've been floating around the Neptune TLP (Tension Leg Platform) for the passed month, but today, we got much closer. Just a cool pic of it in operation and two of our ships, the Western Neptune and the Kylie Williams passing in the background.

Great picture... what is a Tension Leg Platform? I suppose I should google it, but easier to ask.. :lol:

Did you ever Google it? Well Here is a pic of the same platform, in a pre-build computer generated image, that shows how's it's done and what it is. The legs are secured via tension cables to the sea floor.

No, it's towing about 7km or seismic streamer filled with hydrophones. :yes:
