Underwater with the fishes
Ok folks I am going detecting in an hour but I thought I would add another chance to guess the watches.

First person to answer this correctly will get a chance.

A freighter pulls into the locks. The crew lowers a ladder so the they can get off. The ladder is a rope ladder with rungs every foot. The ladder is exactly 15' long with the last rung touching the water.

They raise the water in the locks 6.5 feet. How many rungs in the ladder are now underwater?

Will check back in about half an hour.

Good Luck!!

wvred is the first that answered it right.

You don't know how many people think the ladder goes underwater!!!!!

VW Go to the first thread Time to dive MAIN and guess the number of watches. You can put your guess here or on that thread.

Good luck!!

Roger and Pspopa, you were also right. Sorry you were not the first.

Is the ladder attached to the freighter?
If so, the ladder would rise with the ship and the ladder would be in the exact same place, relative to the water, as it was before the water level was raised
