Garrett AT Pro ..pointers

Best you can do is watch all the Garrett videos on Youtube about it...

Once you get it, put some coins on the ground and get used to how they sound in pro zero mode while noticing how the sound gets softer as you lift the coil.... Keep that softest sound stored in your brain...

Go to an old spot and find those soft signals and dig your silvers...

Easy...

Oh, and stay out of MI. waters for your own safety, all shores and waters have been staked/claimed by a rough bunch of scurvy pirates.. Most treasure has already been found and what's left isn't worth your life....

Depending on what type of hunt you are looking to do with it there are a few people on youtube who i can recommend that use At-Pros

freshwater hunting: Nuggetnoggin and beau ouimette both do alot of freshwater creek hunting with their at pros

land relic hunting: nuggetnoggin also does alot of land hunting (so does beau lol)

Land park / homesite hunting: DelawareDigger used to use an AT pro alot more but still does from time to time

Nugget really does make an effort to show you exactly what his settings are and also tried to show alot of signals on camera before he digs them. Very instructive and is the reason i dig alot of 60-65 signals in old parks looking for brass/copper relics

Additionally there is an AT pro group on here that has a large library of VDI signals

AUDIO AUDIO AUDIO! The only way to learn!

You gotta hold yer mouth right son!

I appreciate all the tips....especially the # chart and stressing the audio. Have a school yard I hit that had a VT copper and civil war era bullet. Hoping the AT uncovers even more.

I cannot stress enough that you need to learn iron audio! Biggest mistake I made was giving up on the AT pro without learning the audio of it.

As for setup, I do Pro-zero iron disc at 22.

Tones, indeed. I've had my AT Pro for about 2 months and have learned not only the different tones, but the intensity of them, and I think most importantly is getting a consistently repeatable tone. That will help greatly in determining junk from keepers. Good luck and happy hunting!

This was interesting, thanks! I usually find clad quarters at 86-87. Nickels at 51. Copper - zinc pennies anywhere from 75-81. Clad Dimes generally at 81.
